Hey guys! After my four day weekend I'm surprisingly well-rested for once (although I did take like half an hour to get out of bed this morning, but I'm blaming that on Monday! ;) ). After the spectacularly successful cover reveal on Thursday, Frozen Hearts is coming along beautifully - I've begun noticing some very interesting patterns in the way my writing has progressed over the months, and I can't wait to share them with you this week. I've also been writing a lot of poetry - this week's Friday Poetry is already written, which is a way cool thing for Miss Procrastination over here! ;)
Also, my lovely friend Karen had such an amazing surprise for me today! I always enjoy reading her 3 Quotes series, where she posts inspiring quotes all centred around a common theme, but little did I know that I would be featured. :D Karen has been kind enough to include my thoughts on how to write poetry (taken from this post), along with two other quotes on scifi and why we should write. Definitely worth having a look!
And finally, Chuck Wendig over at Terribleminds wrote a couple of refreshingly down-to-earth posts on why he identifies as a feminist and why he prefers "feminist" over "equalist". They're definitely worth a read, especially if you identify as a feminist yourself - although I've seen many, many articles from women on feminism (not to mention Emma Watson's recent speech for the UN, to which I can only say: YOU GO, GIRL), there aren't really many supportive ones from men. Please note, though, there is some language, so if that bothers you I'd skip over this one. :)
How was your weekend, everybody? Hopefully you've had a good one (and you're feeling as relaxed as I am!). Let's chat in the comments. :D
