TADAAAA! How do you like the brand new blog?? I spent all of Friday and the majority of Saturday redesigning it, and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. :D I was debating between a couple of titles, but in the end I decided to go with "Six Impossible Things", which is taken from one of my favourite quotes from Through the Looking Glass:
“I try to believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Count them, Alice. One, there are drinks that make you shrink. Two, there are foods that make you grow. Three, animals can talk. Four, cats can disappear. Five, there is a place called Underland. Six, I can slay the Jabberwocky.”
Lewis Carroll is completely insane but also completely incredible, so of course I HAD to pay tribute to him. ;) And thank you so much for all the lovely Twitter messages about the new design! It's so wonderful to know that you guys like it as much as I do.
Also, I have a brand new photo! If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that it was taken by Tanvi, who is an awesome photographer. I am really not a very good model at all, but she managed to make me look somewhat photogenic, for which I am forever grateful. ;)
Something else that happened over the weekend: I got my first rating on Frozen Hearts.
Someone just rated Frozen Hearts 1 star on Goodreads, which I'm slightly confused by because it's not even out yet. (?)

You guys, I have absolutely no idea what's happening - I checked out the person's profile and they've set it to private, but I didn't recognise the name at all. :P So I don't know, maybe it's a spammer or something?
I'm kind of surprised I'm not more offended about this, but I've thought about it and pretty much all they're rating is the cover + blurb (both of which are kickass, thank you very much!), so... I'd be a bit more upset about it if it was actually published and the person was rating the book itself. I've gotten offers to rally a posse, but I think I will pass on that one! (It's good to know you guys are so supportive, though. I love you. ;)) I'll let you know if there are any further developments on that front!
I went downtown over the weekend as well to see the film Interstellar. Honestly, it was... not as great of an experience as I had anticipated, but that's mostly because I arrived half an hour early (what can I say? I don't like being late!), and then I was the only person there, so I had to ask a bunch of people where I was supposed to be, which was supremely uncomfortable because I really, really don't like talking to strangers. :/ Then once all that was sorted out, there were three people I know from school and I had to make small talk (because apparently I'm the only person ever to go to the cinema by themselves???) and the whole time all I really wanted to do was sit in the dark theatre and hide behind my popcorn.
Ok, but looking past all that stuff, the film itself was actually really good. I'm usually not one for scifi, but Interstellar had a lovely blend of character and plot, and there were some... difficult issues touched upon, so it was very interesting to see the characters deal with that. Plus, the last scene. THAT PLOT TWIST, THOUGH.
If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend it. Hopefully you're a bit less socially awkward than I am, so you'll have a better cinema experience! ;)
And that was my weekend! Stay tuned this week for a post on my marketing techniques, a more in-depth look on how I changed the categories and tags for the new blog, and a playlist for Christmas (BECAUSE IT'S IN THREE DAYS AHHHHHHH).
How was your weekend, everyone?
