Me Me Me Monday (3)

Hey guys! Busy busy busy weekend for me (but then, what else is new?). School's out in two weeks, meaning final exams are dawning - I have Chinese exams and my final project for Science this week, plus my final English project and Math exam next week. Yay, right? :P So wish me luck on those - I'm afraid writing time is going to be hard to come by in these final weeks, but after that it's summer, so lots more time to work on FH and musical things!

Currently Watching...

Supernatural. I'm ALMOST DONE with Season 1, and I'm basically planning on binge-watching that next weekend so I can finally finally finish it and move onto Season 2. It so doesn't help that I watch each episode multiple times, though. *sigh* But Sam Winchester is actually the most adorable person ever to grace the face of television and Dean is the epitome of badassery (is that even a thing?), so it's not like I can actually help it! Anyway, people keep on pestering me to finish Season 1 already, so I do have to buckle down and do that. ;)

Currently Reading...

The Clown Picture, by Troy McCombs. This one is a review copy for YA Asylum - Mr McCombs sent it to me a couple of weeks ago and it took me an obscene amount of time to finally get around to reading it, but here I am at last! I'm only on the first couple of pages, but it already looks like a great read. Plus, the blurb is awesome. Gotta love a good horror story, especially if it involves clowns (oh, come on, I can't be the only one who was seriously freaked out by them as a kid!).

Currently Writing...

Unfortunately, not much Frozen Hearts. I really haven't gotten much time for editing, but on a plus note, I did figure out the deal with the climax and I think I have a working draft of that! :D It'll almost certainly be changed in the coming days, but I'm pretty happy with how it is at the moment. Also, I wrote a couple of scenes of FH's sequel, and I so love the characters in this book. Seriously, I can't wait to share that with you guys! Unfortunately, all the scenes that I did write this weekend contained major, major spoilers for FH, so I can't post them on the blog... but rest assured, they were so much fun to write and once you do get to read them, you hopefully won't be disappointed! I also figured out a gigantic part of the plot in this sequel which ties into FH in a really clever way (if I do say so myself!), so I'm insanely pleased about that. However, I must keep tight-lipped. Oh, the agony of being a writer. ;)

Currently Listening To...

"Little Lion Man", by Mumford and Sons. I have NO IDEA why I didn't discover this sooner, because it's actually the perfect song for so many books/films/television shows (at the moment: Supernatural. Which totally makes it seem like the most depressing show in the entire world, which is not true, no matter what people might tell you!). Plus, the way Mumford and Sons performs the song is so powerful. Ahhhhhh. :D

Have a listen above (although, please keep in mind: there is swearing in the chorus!).

Random Updates...

I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Emily! I've mentioned her a couple times, I believe, but she's a great friend of mine and I'm delighted to have been nominated. :D I'll be doing my Liebster post tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that! Also, Emily invited me to do another fun thing which I'm so excited about, but alas, this thing must be kept under wraps for the next couple of days while we make preparations/sort out other details/rub our hands together wickedly and cackle under our breaths. ;) (There is so much secrecy in this post, I'm only just now realising. Sorrryyyyyy, lovelies! I'm not usually this cryptic!) Plus, Tanvi and I have a really important performance for National History Day on Wednesday involving a certain professor from Yale who has deemed us worthy of attention. ;) So wish us luck for that!

Right then, time to go bury my head in books and study for math tests. :P Hope you guys had a great weekend, and I'll see you tomorrow with the Liebster award!

love, Topaz
